Filtering Options

Filtering is a useful tool to isolate only the messages, notifications and incidents which concern the user. VictorOps offers several methods to customize the interface to view only what is relevant.

 

Filtering Options:
Filtering is on Per User Basis

Main Timeline:

Click the Icon in the Screen Shot, the first option will be to filter by Routing Key, this allows you to filter the timeline to see only Incidents that are associated to your Routing Key(team/teams)

Next set of Filters are Message Types. Uncheck the messages you would like to exclude from your timeline

Incident Timeline:

You have 3 main tabs in the Incident Pane:

All Incidents-All incidents being ingested by the VictorOps Platform (Not User or Team specific)

 

Your Incidents-Incidents you are being paged for, acknowledged, and resolved

Teams Incidents-Incidents your Team is being paged for, acknowledged, and resolved

People Pane Filtering:

People Pane allows you to filter by Teams or by Users along with a custom search:

On-call- All Users that are on-call

Engaged-Who has been active in the platform within the last 10 mins. (green dot fades out over that time)

Teammates-All users who are on your team/teams

Within the Timeline, you have 3 panes; People, Timeline, Incident Panes. You can filter these panes with our Display Buttons!

When you click on People, Timeline, or Incident, it will hide that Pane.

When Hiding the Timeline and People Panes, the Incident Pane is reactive, and it moves from a Card View to a Table View.

From here you can sort by Incident #, Description, and Date. This gives you a organized high level view of the incidents in your Organization:
